Driving/Cycling from the North/Bangor/A55
About 2 km from Bethesda turn right here and down the road above
It is very easy to miss this small lane, it is on Google Maps. If you reach Snowdonia Mountain Lodge on your left, you have gone too far.


Driving/Cycling from the South/Capel Curig/A5
Option 1 - Scenic back road
From the south past Llyn Ogwen turn left towards the Café and YHA and follow the road down the valley for about 3 km - it's spectacular. Take care.

Option 2 - A5 route
From the south past Llyn Ogwen and continue down along the winding A5. At the bottom of the valley you will pass Snowdonia Mountain Lodge on your right, shortly after there is a small lane on the left that you take, it is very easy to miss!



We are on the Lon Las Ogwen bike trail that runs from Port Penryhn in Bangor to Llyn Ogwen
Off road except for a very short stretch it's a lovely peaceful ride.
Oh...it's uphill all the way from Bangor!

Public Transport


Trains
Bangor (Gwynedd, not Bangor North of Ireland!) is the nearest train station. There are direct services from Holyhead, Chester, London, and Manchester. See Transport for Wales for latest timetable information.
Getting from the train station:
This is a 20 minute drive from our place.
Taxis
Taxis will drop off at ours but can cost up to £30.
It can be hard to get a lift around the school run time (8-9am and 3pm). And any time it's best to book in advance.

Buses
There is also the T10 bus from Bangor station that you can get dropped off at "Snowdonia Mountain Lodge" , and then it is a 15/20 mins walk down a quiet road to our place.
The T10 only runs every couple hours off season & Sundays, and runs every 2 hours otherwise, you can find the timetable here.
There are more regular buses from the central bus station in Bangor to Bethesda and we are a 45 minute walk from there or a 5 minute drive.

Travelling to climb Snowdon we recommend the Sherpa Bus or using the helpful Park + Ride services
